Sympoasium 'Minority Languages in Education', EERA/ECER 2026, Tampere University (FI)

At the ECER conference of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), researchers from Fryslân are organising a symposium. Suzanne Dekker and Ydwine Scarse are involved in this on behalf of the Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning.

This year's theme of the Finnish European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) is "Knowing and Acting: The changing conditions and potentials of education research". It is organised from 17-21 August by the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and the Tampere University.

The symposium ‘Minority Languages in Education: Translating Policy, Identity, and Community Engagement into Classroom Practice’ forms part of the conference programme and is organised by our former colleague and current lecturer at NHL Stenden, Mirjam Günther-van der Meij. A number of research papers will be presented at the symposium.
