Read with MEE Webinar - Presentation of new materials (online)

On 1 October, the Read with MEE team is organising a series of online meetings to showcase what the researchers have developed over the past period: a series of videos featuring examples from across Europe, and video interviews with experts in the field who explain key concepts in the area of multilingual language development; as well as an online library of inclusive multilingual books and useful links to relevant projects, publications and experts.

About Read with MEE

Read with MEE wants to advance key literacy skills and equitable educational opportunities for young multilingual children (2-6 years old), especially those belonging to a national, regional, migrant, or refugee minority. It will promote inclusion of their linguistic skills in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).

The project addresses a gap in inclusive multilingual literacy development and aims to:

a) increase knowledge about inclusive multilingual literacy development;
b) support implementation and inclusion of multilingual literacy skills in ECEC and at home;
c) develop positive attitudes towards linguistic diversity and home languages.

Partners in this new Erasmus+ project are: ATiT (Belgium), NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences and 8D Games (Netherlands), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), and the University of the Basque Country (Spain). Mercator is coordinator. The project is funded by The European Union.
