About Exchange Week 

From 8 to 12 June 2026 is Exchange Week, an initiative of Samenwerking Rijk Noord, Noorderlink and Werken in Friesland. During this week, organisations in the Northern Netherlands, from government to the business sector, open their doors to one another. Employees step out of their familiar working environment for a day and take a look at another organisation.

Whether you work as a manager, administrative assistant, carpenter, HR specialist or IT professional: everyone can take part. It’s all about meeting people, learning and finding inspiration. Step out of your daily routine and let yourself be surprised by other organisations during Exchange Week! 

Participate

Spending a day shadowing at another organisation can be an eye-opener. You’ll discover how others work, what they’re doing and what you can take away from that for your own work. You might spot opportunities you hadn’t seen before. By sharing knowledge and meeting new people, ideas emerge that you wouldn’t come up with sitting at your desk. Inspiration guaranteed!

Want to take part? With a choice of over 70 exchange programmes, there’s something for everyone. From a day’s shadowing to a more in-depth programme: you choose what suits you best.
