Inspiration afternoon and Frisian Wiki-edit-a-thon by WikiWomen

The team behind the international Erasmus+ project WikiWomen, which consists of a consortium of knowledge partners from Friesland (Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning/Fryske Akademy, Afûk and Learning Hub Friesland), Ireland (Wikimedia Ireland, Coláiste Oiriall) and the Basque Country (Euskal Wikilarien Kultura, Antigua-Luberri institute/Gobierno Vasco), invite you to an inspiring multilingual day on Wednesday 20 November in Leeuwarden's Stadskas (Greenhouse).

You can join in as early as noon from 15:00 - 17:00: listen to students, teachers and cultural professionals from Friesland, Ireland and the Basque Country share their experiences on using Wikipedia to combat gender and language inequality. What to expect:

- Personal stories and interactive sessions;
- Discover how Wikipedia promotes minority languages and better represents women online;
- Use the WikiWomen results to improve digital and research and language skills in your work or teaching.

Sign up women!

You are also cordially invited to the evening programme: the Frisian Wiki edit-a-thon ‘Skriuw de froulju yn!' In the evening, the programme is dedicated to making Wikipedia more inclusive. We will focus on writing articles about inspiring, lesser-known women. You can join us at 6.30pm for snacks and an informal get-together, or you can join us at 7.30pm for the main programme, which includes presentations on inspiring women, a crash course on Wikipedia editing and an edit-a-thon to create new articles. Bring your own laptop and come to the City Greenhouse! The programme will conclude around 10pm.
