WikiWomen to Celtic Knot Wikimedia Language Conference

At the Celtic Knot Wikimedia Language Conference in Ireland, results of the WikiWomen project, in which Mercator is a partner, will be presented.

On the second day of the Celtic Knot Wikimedia Language Conference in Ireland, the team behind the Erasmus+ project WikiWomen will present the first toolkits to the general public. Our research centre Mercator is one of the project partners, together with Afûk en Learning Hub Friesland from Fryslân, Wikimedia Ireland (IE), Coláiste Oiriall (IE), Euskal Wikilarien Kultura (ES) en Antigua-Luberri institute/ Gobierno Vasco (ES). Celtic Knot

The Celtic Knot Language Conference is a gathering that acknowledges the diversity of Celtic language communities and their presence within the global Wikimedia ecosystem. Rooted in the spirit of collaboration and community empowerment, this event serves as a nexus for language enthusiasts, Wikimedia contributors, cultural advocates, academics and researchers to come together and explore innovative approaches to language preservation, promotion, and recognition of Celtic and minority languages in the digital space.
 

When and where?

The conference will take place on September 25-27, 2024, onsite in Waterford City in Ireland. Go for more updates including details about the venue, program and registration to the conference website.

 

Call for Papers

The call for program proposals is open until Sunday, July 14th. You can make a proposal directly on Wiki or by using a form. You will find all the details and instructions on the submissions page.
