The ENROPE/Langscape consortium, together with the GREDA research group and the School of Psychology, Education and Sports Sciences Blanquerna (Ramon Llull University), proudly announce the Spring School for junior researchers in the field of multilingualism and education. This study week will be held at Ramon Llull University yn Barcelona from 24 to 28 March 2025, at FPCEE Blanquerna.

The theme of the ENROPE/Langscape Barcelona Spring School 2025 is ‘Working together with languages: How does research respond positively to the needs of learning environments?’ The preliminary programme is here.

About ENROPE/Langscape

Since 2014, Mercator has been a member of the LANGSCAPE Network. LANGSCAPE is an international research network engaging in plurilingualism, language education and language learning, coordinated by the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. One of the successful projects that emerged from this research network is the Erasmus+ project ENROPE, which Mercator carried out in cooperation with eight universities from six European countries and which was assessed as excellent. The partners still work together in organising educational networking events, such as this study week.

Wanted: Master students and PhD candidates

The Barcelona Spring School 2025 is specially designed for master students and PhD candidates with research interests in areas such as multilingualism, language use, language learning and teaching, teacher development in language teaching, and the social and ethical issues related to multilingual environments. This study week offers a unique opportunity to present your own work, receive constructive feedback and explore other students' projects. You will participate in plenary sessions, seminars and interactive workshops, and visit schools in Barcelona and meet education professionals and others.

You can apply to participate by 15 December 2024 using this form. Participation is free, but participants must arrange and pay for their own travel and accommodation. For PhD students with a university employment contract, it is possible to cover part of the costs through Erasmus+ mobility grants.
