Vacancy: Member of the Supervisory Board

The Fryske Akademy Foundation has been conducting scientific research on the Frisian language, multilingual society and regional history of Fryslân for over 85 years. With multidisciplinary research, the Fryske Akademy makes innovative contributions to the international scientific debate, contributes to the academic climate in Leeuwarden and Fryslân, and generates inspiring fundamental and applicable knowledge for and about society. The Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning has been part of the Fryske Akademy since 1987. Mercator conducts comparative and applied research in Europe in the field of multilingual education, language policy and language vitality, and links it to social issues in Fryslân. 

(Scientific) Member of the Supervisory Board

Due to the departure of one of the sitting Supervisory Board members, due to reaching the maximum term of office, the vacancy of a Supervisory Board member will arise from 1 May 2025.

A colleague with a scientific background or a strong affinity with science is specifically sought for the newly appointed member. If you also have broad managerial experience, as well as familiarity, affinity and involvement with the task, vision and mission and the field of activity of the Fryske Akademy and the Mercator European Research Centre, please read our vacancy for a (Scientific) Member of the Supervisory Board (from 1 May 2025) yn it Frysk or in Dutch.
