Project Symposium 'Connecting the Frisian Language Family', Fryske Akademy, Leeuwarden (NL)

In autumn 2025, the Fryske Akademy, Nordfriisk Instituut and Seeltersk-Kontoor started a joint research project on the Frisian languages. This was the first linguistic research project to bring together all three Frisian language areas North Frisian, Saterland Frisian and West Frisian. As the project draws to a close, we would like to share what we have learned and explore opportunities for future research together.

Everyone is warmly invited to attend. Alongside presentations by the project team, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet colleagues, exchange ideas and contribute to discussions about the future of research on the Frisian languages.
