As a partner in the ErasmusPlus project WikiWomen, the Mercator European Research Centre had the honour of telling the 5VWO pupils of the Drachtster Lyceum about archive research and the reliability of research sources.

In the Tresoar historical centre, the students were given tools for searching and assessing information for a biography, an explanation of the historical treasures to be found in Tresoar and a tour of the depots. 

A journalist from daily newspaper Leeuwarder Courant attended and made this report.

On 23 February, Mercator/ Fryske Akademy and Tresoar organise a similar workshop for 5HAVO students at Singelland in Burgum.

The WikiWomen project is an Erasmus+ Programme (KA220-SCH) and a collaboration between Mercator European Research Centre / Fryske Akademy, Algemiene Fryske Ûnderrjocht Kommisje (AFÛK) (NL), Learning Hub Friesland (NL), Wikimedia Ireland (IE), Coláiste Oiriall (IE), Euskal Wikilarien Kultura (ES), Antigua-Luberri institute/ Gobierno Vasco (ES).
