Conference of Frisian Humanities

75 presentations in the field of Frisian studies at the 3rd Conference on Frisian Humanities

What about the relationships between Frisian and Breton writers after the Second World War? How can multilingual education be promoted in a positive way through multilingual wellbeing? What are the latest developments in the field of Old Frisian or multilingual speech technology? And what about the use of Frisian on social media and the use of “mem” and “heit” instead of “jij” or “u”?

With no fewer than 59 research lectures, 1 discussion panel and 16 poster presentations, the Conference on Frisian Humanities once again has a full and exciting programme. Scientists from here, but also from Spain, Germany, Norway, Luxembourg and Belgium, affiliated with more than 35 universities and other research institutes, will travel to Leeuwarden from 12 to 14 November to participate in this conference with the theme Brêgen en Grinzen: Fryslân yn in mondiale kontekst (Building and Grinning: Fryslân in a global context).
