1st PLURILINGMEDIA General Conference: Media and Language Vitality, Warschau (PL)
PLURILINGMEDIA is a European project (COST Action) that brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to strengthen and promote research on media in European regional and minority languages. PLURILINGMEDIA aims to bridge the gap between academia and media practice, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and the sharing of knowledge.
Mercator has been asked to participate in two of the project's four international working groups: 'Legislation and Standards' and 'Language Vitality'. The first PLURILINGMEDIA conference, on the theme of "Media and Language Vitality" (Language Vitality Working Group), will be held on December 4th and 5th in Warsaw, Poland, at the Institute of Slavic Studies from the Polish Academy of Sciences. Professor Elin Haf Gruffydd Jones is keynote speaker.
