An overview of our past activities

This Regional Dossier is the second and fully updated edition of the dossier 'The Italian language in education in Slovenia'. This Regional Dossier was updated in 2023 by Nives Zudič Antonič, PhD (full professor of Italian literature and researcher at the Institute of Intercultural Studies at the University of Primorska) and Anja Zorman, PhD (associate professor of Italian language didactics and researcher at the Institute of Intercultural Studies at the University of Primorska).

With news about, among other things: the Spanish government's formal request to make Catalan, Basque and Galician languages with full rights in the EU, a new law banning mother-tongue education for minorities in Estonia, the European Day of Languages on 26 September, research results from a project on Cimbro, Ladino and Mòcheno languages, Technology-Mediated PLurilingual Activities for (language) Teacher Education, neural machine translation for Romance languages, and much more!

With news about, among other things: a new report on working with multilingual children and families in early childhood education and care, new CoE/ECRML reports on Austria and Serbia, a new open-source app launched to help researchers collect data on bilingual populations, a call for help to make Higher Education Institutions multilingual spaces, the new Lingotell project on storytelling in indigenous and minority languages, and much more!

On Saturday 24 June, the Fryske Akademy is organising a conference on Sater Frisian, the 'Tag der Saterfriesen/ Dai fon do Seelter'.

The 19th ICML at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (20-24 June, 2023) offers a diverse programme with several Frisian language studies.

The LANGSCAPE & ENROPE Online Colloquium will be a space for presenting and discussing on-going research and teaching projects related to plurilingualism and education.
