Conference: Bridging Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences

Mercator (Fryske Akademy), the universities of Graz, Bologna and Newcastle, and NeoSmart Digital cordially invite you to join their conference 'Bridging Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences'. This scientific event takes place on 16-17 June 2023 and is organised as part of the Erasmus+ project 'Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences (GCMC)'.

It aims to bring together teachers, teacher educators, students, scholars, and researchers to present on and critically discuss topics that bridge global citizenship and multilingual competences in different subjects and languages.

The Conference Call for Papers is open. The organisation welcomes contributions that include but are not limited to: 

- Global citizenship education (GCE)
- Life skills in education
- Transversal competences
- UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education
- Multilingualism
- Multilingual competences in the classroom

The conference will take place at the Institute of English Studies on the campus of the University of Graz. Participation is free of charge.
