Multilingualism, Regional & Minority Languages: Paradigms for ‘Languages of the Wider World’
In April 2009 the there will be an international conference in London, with the title: Multilingualism, Regional & Minority Languages: Paradigms for ‘Languages of the Wider World’. The conference is organised jointly by the SOAS-UCL Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Languages of the Wider World (LWW CETL) (UK) and the Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning of the Fryske Akademy (The Netherlands).
Proposals are invited for papers on following themes and topics:
(i) Language Transmission outside the school
(ii) Multilingual Education
(iii) New technologies in teaching and learning languages
(iv) Social benefits & costs of multilingualism.
