Conference information
The Ministry of Education, Universities and Research of the Basque Country and Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning will organise an Expert Seminar on 4-5 June 2009 in Leeuwarden, capital of Fryslân.
The theme of the Seminar is Pedagogy and Didactics for Multilingual Education in Minority Language Regions.
Experts from around Europe will present and discuss the next topics:
1. Language Policies
a. How will the European multilingual society develop in the next decade?
b. Which kind of socio-functional compartmentalisation can be assigned on a stable basis to RML, State languages and Languages of Wider Communication
2. Educational Practice
a. New ways of teaching, including new media/ e-learning
b. How can new technologies be incorporated in education?
